Add a custom URL
Be able to apply a custom URL
Hello everyone —
First off, thank you for your feedback. It’s amazing that you’ve taken the time from your day to share with us how we can make Spark improve.
However, we’ve decided not to integrate a custom URL / domain feature into Spark Page. There are lots of big improvements coming soon, but in the interest of transparency I wanted to let you know.
Please follow up with me if you have any questions. Thank you!

I hope you can change this in the future - does not make sense to have a page without a custom url sorta seems pointless. When I post the page on other social media sites the snippet or whatever you call it comes up blank - when you post it to Twitter..

So you take away Muse and introduce a replacement and it can't even do custom URLs? The URL is the very thing that DEFINES a website. What are you thinking Adobe??? So bad. I was holding onto my Spark page, waiting for this feature, but I will be dumping Spark ASAP. Way to listen to your customer base, Adobe!

I will just add my comment as well... the idea to not have the option to use a custom URL is absurd. It's forcing anyone who wants to look professional to go somewhere else. Adobe will never get the great content providers or even serious amateurs to use this platform because everyone wants to post to their own URL. I know some people are sending people to a custom URL and then setting that URL up on GoDaddy as a masked forward to the adobe spark site they made that keeps the URL but they have to do it for every single site they make. This is sad that Adobe can't see the need for this and make it happen. FYI it is happening in other places with Adobe... ie on Adobe Portfolio!!!! You CAN do it there. So they have the system in place to use a custom URL. Adobe just chooses NOT to allow people using Spark to do it. So... if any of you want to have this feature and already have a paid adobe account, just go over to their Portfolio web tool and use that. It's feirly simplar, but has that option. Maybe Adobe won't do it for Spark because they don't intend to have Spark around for very long... it seems to me that is Spark wants to continue justifying the platform to Adobe, they need to fight for this option so that they don't end up loosing users to Portfolio and thereby loosing the funding from Adobe to continue being a product team. If Portfolio and Spark end up being equal in capability and Portfolio allows for custom URLs, then everyone will move over to Portfolio and just stop using Spark as a web tool.

I still haven't found a good reason why you all decided to not let us have a custom domain for Adobe Spark. I would rather use it than Adobe portfolio!

This is really a bad decision and I hope Adobe reconsiders this. Until then, a good alternative is Google Sites who DOES allow custom URLs.

I have to say I too wish there were a way to link all the sparks I have to produce to one URL.. Disappointing.. How can we help you make it better if you decline a strongly recommended feature needed.

Thank you Spark for an amazing platform you have here. I enjoy using it. It would be of great interest if in the near future Spark can allow us to create our own custom url.
Thank you so much for all your hard work putting this together.
kindly,
Jonathan. -

Typical Adobe, creating something that's really half-baked! No custom URL!? Who's going to use this, kids? Just like Muse, which was something exciting and allowed designers freedom, Adobe no longer supports.

So Spark Page is definitely NOT a business option!

I read that someone was considering square space as their next stop. If you’re already a techie with coding experience that might be a good option but if you’re new to the process of creating webpages, or don’t have lots of free time to learn a new interface, I wouldn’t go near square space. It’s time consuming to set up, and you almost have to take a class to learn how to set the thing up.

Veronica, I am not sure that the giant statement at the top of this page saying "Spark - Help us make it even better!" is entirely accurate? You have 79 comments at the time of writing this on here and everyone wants Adobe to listen that they would like a custom URL? Not sure why your ignoring this?

Well that was a waste of time then.

That is bad news. Please reconsider this Adobe or Squarespace is my next stop.

This makes no sense. None. Zilch. I can only see it as a ploy to withhold something that is not a feature -- but ought to have been delivered out of the box. Someday, you will provide this "feature", package with a bunch other items that are not needed, and charge way more money for the bundle.
You will give no option other than to have a low cost package that does not include it -- or a much higher cost package which has tons of non-essential items with this "should be provided" item tucked in.
Why do this?

You Kill of MUSE after years of hard work delivering it and now this not providing custom URLs makes the professiona/educationall content we add to this beautifully easy and integrative website look amateur and something like a scam website. Please add custom URLs so we can provide professional content with a professional appearance, You Should be taken to court for Muse let alone anything else, I think I'll set up a crowd fund for designers to and take you to the court of designer human rights. and claim back all the hard years of suffering you've put me through.

Hello Admin,
Was wondering the reasoning behind that; I'm paying so the logo doesn't show on my page or content, but what's the point if the URL would show it anyway?

I just signed up for a CC plan to use Spark. Now I see that I can't redirect my domain so this is a no-go situation. It's back to non-Adobe world of Davinici Resolve, Wordpress, etc. Note to Spark product managers: Aren't your paid subscribers usually professionals where branding is a business priority?

That's unfortunate. Firstly, having a custom URL helps with branding. Secondly, I HATE that I am giving Adobe free advertising through the URL while I am paying for the service. As soon as I find a similar product I'm skipping Spark.
