Add a custom URL
Be able to apply a custom URL
Hello everyone —
First off, thank you for your feedback. It’s amazing that you’ve taken the time from your day to share with us how we can make Spark improve.
However, we’ve decided not to integrate a custom URL / domain feature into Spark Page. There are lots of big improvements coming soon, but in the interest of transparency I wanted to let you know.
Please follow up with me if you have any questions. Thank you!

This is UNACCEPTABLE! At least provide a method to download the entire presentation and be able to upload to one's own server. Sending an Adobe Branded URL to a client is not going to happen. The same scenario with InDesign. These are amazing tools, but severely handicapped.
I wasted enough time on Adobe Muse. NOT AGAIN!! Adobe needs to fire its decision-makers and start fresh. Too many years have passed with Great product design, but poor delivery options.

Adobe spark has so many great features, but not being able to customize the URL makes it useless for me. This needs to be a TOP priority!

You're out of the game. Custom URL isn't a "nice to have" – it's a total deal breaker. Did you ever wonder why no one uses Spark? It's really good... apart from this one massive flaw!

not adding a custom URL is so backwards. You had the opportunity to compete with the likes of squarespace and wix and all the other custom website builders but you will remain and the dark and probably will be jobless soon because your idiotic choice. Good luck

Not customizing a URL is a big mistake. It is an egotistic move on part of Adobe. This is too bad. I will be sure to tell my clients not use this Adobe product and others. I am a very unsatisfied user of Adobe products, especially Adobe Spark. I have decided to stop using your products, after finding out you cannot create your own domain/URL for Spark.
If Adobe decides to allow customized URL, you would not only satisfy your clients, you would gain more customers. This is a set back on Adobe. Customize URL's allows businesses to personalize, for their marketing purposes. Adobe is trying to do this for free marketing and branding their own products. Not right, oh, the greed @Adobe.

Yeah this makes Spark completely unusable for anything remotely serious.

Spark is a great app and very professional, but for the fact we cannot link with a domain name. This feature is a must! Please add this as some form of option or the ability to upload a Spark site to an independent server space.

POSSIBLE WORKAROUND!
If you have access to the DNS settings for your custom domain, you can add a synthetic record subdomain forward.
So you can tell people to go to topic.yourdomain.com and it will automatically redirect to the spark page. -

Integration of a custom domain feature is one of the most important and satisfying things you could do for everyone. Was hoping to use this for professional reasons but I can’t without using my custom domain. Honestly quite a letdown.

Yeah, this is such a disappointment. Please implement this, because I can’t use your product unless you do.

I don't understand the logic behind not allowing custom domains/urls. Can you explain further?

Please change the policy, we all know it is possible!

I agree. It’s necessary a custom URL. I can’t send a URL to my clients without my corporate name but with adobe and alphanumeric URL, it’s no professional.

Plus no explanation why?

I was just reviewing the CC plans and about to sign up - but then found this answer to my question on URL's - so now I won't at this time... It's very hard to understand Adobe's maintained and unexplained position on this in the face of direct professional customer feedback. A good service for student portfolios possibly; just not for professional use at this time.
If it is simply to advertise the Adobe brand further in a roundabout way by making viewers see "adobe.com" in the URL - I think you'll be losing more potential business than you'd stand to gain. It's like Apple and Microsoft's methods in deciding how people should work, without consultation or consideration of what their customers actually need the product for in the first place.
