I've just begun working on my first timeline using Spark's Timeline Maker prototype and I'm four events into it. The only issue I've had thus far is the inability to upload/use my own images. The concept and potential for this function is amazing and has great potential. I've read a few of the other feedback comments, and I agree there should be some sort of "limitless" aspect to it, which perhaps exports as a series of JPGs, PNGs, or PDFs.
If I were able to upload my own photos or choose from my Library, change the font based on what I have in my Typekit, and export a "limitless" timeline as a series of files described above, this app/program would be PERFECT for my current purposes.

There should be an online save version

This is a great tool and very easy to use. There needs to be more design features where the text box size on the actual timeline can be adjusted to fit larger texts. Also more choice for the colour design.

I'm unable to sign in. Think work is lost.

Why dimension are not accurate? They always have same gap between dates! form 1300 to 1977 and 2020 you have same spacing which is not CORRECT!

There's a bug with mine where I choose an image but it doesn't load onto the timeline. Only certain pictures will work

When the description is too long it doesn't show well, there are no BCE times and the points are always evenly spaced.

Make an unlimited timeline possible. Right now you reach a point where the text is unreadable because of an abundance of titles.

I wish you could add more text so that the 3 dots don't appear

When I download the timeline the text for the description is very faint (illegible). I've tried it in all the different design formats. The downloaded version never looks as good as the prototype. Many thanks for any help you can give me!

the dates are spaced equally when they shouldn't be, apart from that it's great

I would like to be able to save this online and come back to it, as this is a project that will take me more than a month to complete

you should be able to upload your own picture onto the timeline. the rest of the app seems cool though, thanks dude.

This system is really bad for timelines with more than 5 points- I would much rather just have the size of the timeline extend and have to scroll- versus the current system where all the text overlaps

Would love to be able to change the font (especially since I am using this for a university paper)!
Otherwise, this is a really great resource! -

I want to change colors and font and bullet styles. and be able to download with a clear background so I an insert into a powerpoint without having to make it ultra small to fit since the background blocks other things. I also want to be able to make little carrot markers in between timeline dates where I can put what the gap cost us.

In the designs there are lots of overlapping in text and in the final design that doesn't overlap text the date matchup is slightly confusing. Other than that this is a wonderful work in progress it just has some layout issues.
