Accessibility
I would like to request that Adobe Spark files be accessible for screen readers so I can post to my website - thank you

Hi everyone! We’d love to hear your feedback on how we can make Spark Post more accessible for you to use.
As you know, accessibility can include many thing things, please comment here on what aspect of the app you’d like to see improvements first. The more detail the better.
Thank you!

Please add support for alt text! I'm on a higher ed enterprise license and am kind of shocked this is not available.

We purchased your product for a public school district and we are required by section 508 to publish accessible material. One feature that is a must have is to alt-tag images so that users with screen readers can have the content they cannot see described to them. Adobe should be a leader in providing accessibility features to their content creation tools.

Is alt text available in Adobe Spark?

I'm trying to use Spark as a way to share content in the college courses I teach, but I need the it to be accessible for screen readers with things like image captions and alt-text.

I also can't use or endorse your product until it supports alt tagging.

Are there plans to add alt text to Spark Page by end of 2021? I would love to use Spark for my organization's digital project but cannot do so if the platform is not fully accessible.

1. I'd definitely like to see alt text available for images so that screen readers can display the description.

The whole process creating and reading Sparks should be easily navigable by keyboard.

Need alt-text and screen reader compatibility for Sparkpost PDFs. I would use this ALL THE TIME for my classes I teach but I don't because it's such a pain to make the PDFs compliant with ADA at my institution.

The ability to add Alt-text to images seems crucial. I'd also like to be able to preview the Spark with different-size text options, as I imagine folks with only limited vision might have to enlarge the text substantially to be able to read it. (I had a student who needed every printed class handout formatted in at least 18-point type, for example.) I know they can adjust their displays, but it would be nice to be able to see how that affects the overall presentation before publishing. Thanks for asking!

Hello! Is there a timeline for this?? When can we expect these features to be active for adobe spark? Please allow for the addition of alt text, CC and make sure anything produced on spark can be read by screen reader, etc. as voiced by additional comments on this thread. Due to COVID 19, I just started using spark products to make online educational content but have discovered today that it lacks basic accessibility features--I am very upset by this. I will not be using this or recommending anyone else use this product until accessibility features are fixed.

Any news on whether or not we'll get to add alt-text at some point, at the very least? I mean, the first comments about accessibility look to be well over a year or so old...? Has there been no progress? I'm not in the US, but here, we have the AODA, and we need to be able to caption, add alt-text (even if it's just a null value for decorative images, logos, etc.), and so on. My colleague and I want to use Spark for a presentation, but are concerned about sharing it if it's not accessible.

Add Sparks in the DOM not just as images with alt text.

Visually impaired users who use the Bold Text feature in IOS can’t read the menus in Adobe Spark because Spark is incompatible with IOS Accessibility. Spark's fonts are corrupted by Accessibility.
Please make Spark friendly to users who need IOS Accessibility.
Apple is a leader in making computers accessible to people with impairments. Please follow Apple's lead! You have a long way to go, unfortunately.

Have you thought about contacting institutions to help you develop, pilot, and test ADA compliance?

CLOSED CAPTIONING, Alt Text, Logical order Screen Reader and keyboard navigation are my institution's top priorities.
