photos I upload automatically get rotated and I can't rotate them back

I have found success when I take the picture from my phone vertically (like I hold it to talk on the phone). The image flips to the vertical format, so if you take the picture like that, it will appear how you want on the screen.

This was happening to me too! I reaved the jpg as a png; the png files do not rotate randomly!!

This has begun happening for me as well. Infuriating because I have a deadline to meet!
Is there a work around? A fix?
