Ability to define text size and text styles like bold and italic
I would like to be able to specify the text size and styles by highlighting specific text in a text box. It is currently very difficult to resize text and to get various text boxes to have the same size text.

You can now define text sizes on Spark Post web at spark.adobe.com.
For text styles like bold and italic, we recommend you to use the bold typeface or italic typeface for those specific fonts right now.

Okay so I know how you could bold your text. Select it and turn on outline and take the colour same as that of font. Then set it to 1.
That will bold your text but IDK about italicizing.

Very disappointed to find that Adobe have not listened to customers on this matter. Being able to italicise or use bold is pretty basic after all. Come on Adobe. Get a grip.

I thought sure Spark had the means by which a person could choose to highlight certain words, either by font or by italicizing. which I just hadn't previously needed to use. Now that I do, it's extremely frustrating to be told there's no such option. As a novice, it doesn't seem like it would something hard to make available to paying customers. Very disappointing.

Please use the appropriate font weight-I know that this program is aimed towards non-designers, but I think it would cause more problems for non-designers if they end up with poor results stemming from the issues that are raised when you use faux fonts, and there is no way to fix them.

My daughter has cancer and NEEDS bold writing for her poster project. She has 6 Months LEFT and she STILL hasnt completed this poster due to T H I S I SSSUE. PLEASE Fix ASAP, only 6 months left. - 28/10/2019

The "right" way would be if the designer could just select 1 word or even charachter and make it Bold or underlined etc.

This is a fundamental need for any design product and is the main reason we don't use it over canva as the software lacks these design elements

I really find this a potentially strong design app, but I find it rather mind-boggling that Adobe hasn't included such fundamental typographical styles of bold & italic. C'mon, pretty please!

yes! I agree! not having bold/italics are extremely important. we even have them on our phones for emails... let's get them on Spark!

This definitely needs to be built out. We tried to make templates for our social media person for an event to update quotes for, but with the auto-sizing of the text, the result ended up looking extremely inconsistent and unusable.

This one is huge. Spark is very close to being the place to work within if you are not a graphic designer. When a person starts a project, they usually know what they want to do. Spark is about 90% where it needs to be. Adding the ability to change font styles (bold/italic/etc...) and also to add outlines and dropshadow would make it my go to app!
