Allow photo edit/crop/resizing of images especially for the glideshow. Transition effect options.
Sometimes the pictures don't show the right part, i.e. have picture of students. It only showed their bodies and their heads were cut off. Some times the pictures are too stretched out. Need the option to edit, crop and resize. Also would like the option to edit transitions.

We’re planning on adding this feature in the near future. Once development starts, we’ll update you.
Let me know if you have thoughts or questions. Happy to help!

I'm using Adobe Spark for the first time because it's required for a school presentation and within 2 minutes of starting I already hate it. Why is a BASIC feature, like resizing and positioning my photos, not allowed? This makes no sense.

It's May 2021 and resizing in this app is pretty poorly implemented. I understand this isn't a big money maker for Adobe, but people are still paying for this and this is a pretty basic feature.

Where is the “add” button?

There's two ways to upload an image, one where you press Image and upload it that way. You can't seem to resize. The second, use the Add button, then choose photo and do it like that - I can get resize options there.
Hope this helps as I came here for the answer, but ended up working it out myself. -

thought I'd give this a try - imported an image, shows at twice the size - no problem, will just scale it down. ahh, I can't. so I'd need to perfectly size every image I want to use in photoshop prior to upload, and even then won't be able to make minor adjustments to reduce the scale?
That makes the tool a massive time sink for me I'm afraid - do let me know when you get around to fixing it and I'll give it another go... -

You guys at Adobe sparks need to fix the resizing option, I pay every month and I'm so frustrated by the fact I need to use 3rd parties programs to do so.

It doesn't seem to matter to Adobe how many people comment on this missing, basic feature. It has not been addressed in several years. Makes me wonder what their business plan is for Spark. Clearly there's no aggressive effort being made to create a full featured product. Or they went way out in left field with the underlying technology the product is built on and then discovered that what people wanted was not feasible unless they threw it all away and started over.

Yes, the inability to resize photos, is such a shame. I was beginning to enjoy using Spark. I may have to find other options if this is not fixed. It's very frustrating, I am about to submit an assignment and it's too late to change now. But next time I'll have to try something else.

I can't for the life of me figure out why this feature was excluded in the first place...??? Drives me to other places like placeit.net. At least you can freaking edit.

As a college faculty member and teacher trainer, I cannot recommend a program with so little flexibility a photo can't be made smaller. It has frustrated far too many of my students and faculty trainees.

I see this still hasn't been fixed. Very frustrating!

I just resize my photo before using it in Spark. For example, for the split screen, a square format works best, so I reframe my image to the way I want it, then I use that image in spark. It’s great. I really like the ability to change the focal point of an image in Spark too, this gives me the ability to make slight adjustments to the way the image and text work together graphically. I really appreciate the cleanliness of Spark in terms of keeping the design tools clean and consistent.
One recommendation I have though is that they provide users with this guidance in a more proactive way. It should be easier for users to know how to get the effects you want. The Spark comment below could have easily said.... here is a link to the standard image sizes for each photo layout option , and here is a link on how to use the focal point tool. :) -
holy moly someone needs to lose their job.... this is a JOKE.

DONT BUY SPARK! Better to use Canva where you can do the incredibly challenging and obscure task of reducing the size of an image. 🙄

Is this done yet? It's the one reason I keep leaving Spark to use other programs. Otherwise I LOVE it but if the image doesn't fit, I want to be able to make it so

I really don't understand why it scales the picture huge. You can make it larger but never smaller. Super dumb. Sometimes makes the program un-useable.
