Print to PDF
Need ability to print Spark Page to PDF
Use cases:
- Copyright registration
- Offline viewing
- Newsletter printing
Hey everyone! This feature in Page is live. Access it by going to Share > Print from the menu at the top of your Page in Spark on the web (Chrome).
To Save it as a PDF, change your print “destination” to Save as PDF from the print dialog that opens (instead of choosing a specific printer). Then save the PDF to your computer.

It would be nice if we could export an interactive PDF and not just a PDF print version. Where we can still keep the videos clickable, photo sliders moving,...

I'm looking to have my students (BFA Photography) use Spark for Briefs and Proposals- dynamic venue to incorporate imagery, video and interactivity into these presentations that can be dry and static. However, we (they) will need to ability to convert to PDF for sending to clients, competitions, etc. I hope you're able to accommodate. You can visit this site for more updates on Adobe products or contact to Adobe Support.

WRT Anonymous comment to Tom's post: It’s really strange that printing to a pdf is such an issue since Adobe is the one that created the pdf format and promoted it through Acrobat. Given that background and a code base to work from you’d think it would be a relatively easy feature to implement’

Per Tom's post on 8/30 I was able to PRINT via Chrome. But technically there was no PDF file created. It looks like a PDF file, but alas, it is not.
And there is no option to save it as a PDF or any other format in the print dialog box as suggested. And there is no way other than page by page can the recipient of the Spark page print a PDF.
Only because I cannot create, save, or print the pages as PDFs, my employer refuses to use this platform for an eNewsletter that I've created to be dynamic and interactive. This is a HUGE deal Adobe.
Adobe can create the engine (Spark pages) to dazzle the world, but they can't add a print option? Seems like Adobe for some reason doesn't want us to have the ability to print or save the document as a PDF locally.

Ok, I have now created a new account in Google, and can get Spark to load properly with my document. However, it still won't work, using either the Share>Print option, or Print from Chrome. Nor will it create a PDF - just crashes each time. Yes, I have turned headers and footers.

This is pretty useless. I created a document in Spark - very pleased with it. Would like a printout/PDF to share it. So I downloaded Chrome (Firefox is my usual browser), and then made it default. But as my Google sign in is different from my Adobe sign in, when I launch Spark it tells me I do not have any projects!
Given the problems people below are having is it worth spending any more time trying to make this work?
Spark is pretty useless until you can create a PDF. What are you thinking, Adobe? -

While the team says they've shipped the print capability on the Chrome Browser, it is a fragile implementation and does not work on most of the pages I've created.

Ok. I think I have worked out the confusion.
Print to PDF ONLY shows for Spark PAGES. So if you've made any other type of spark document you will not get that option.
So all the people wanting to print their posters etc still can't do that as far as I can tell unless you manage to build them as a spark PAGE rather than a spark POST.

Hi everyone struggling to use the Print to PDF function, it's really easy. Follow these steps (I'm using Chrome on a Mac):
1. Login to Spark.
2. On the Projects tab, open the project you wish to save as a PDF.
3. On the next screen, at the top of the page you will see 3 buttons - settings | preview | share - select Share.
4. From the drop-down menu, select Print.
5. In the print dialog box, select Save as PDF, and you're done!Hope this helps.

No, none of that works. There's no print option. This would be such a great tool if I could save it as pdf, eps or ai.

OK, Adobe...when I went to art school right next to you in San Francisco, you were THE go to software for graphic design and art applications for professional and amateur alike. Designing through apps like Spark Post is beautiful, but getting a high quality finished product is ridiculously frustrating. I would gladly use full versions of other products like photoshop and illustrator except you don’t have them available for my iPad. I manage to get high quality print work from my Spark Post creations, but the steps involved are tedious and include pixel conversion charts and multiple apps (and non adobe software). You have the ability to capture our screen content and create a pdf...put it in the apps please!!!

This is incredibly frustrating! Currently I take about 50 screenshots with Snagit, then merge them together, then open the png file in image viewer and print as a PDF to Snagit. This way I can get a PDF that breaks the pages but doesn't distort the pages or put blank pages in between content. It still reduces the size of the text and quality of the images to 600X600 dpi.
If I try to convert the png to a pdf within snagit the result is worse. The page breaks destroy the content where the break occurs. Worst of all the whole process takes at least an hour if you have a good handle on what you are doing.

I can't get the save to PDF feature to work. When I am in the print box, after the print preview loads the button to "save" is no longer clickable. I can't do anything but cancel. How do I get this function to work?

I was so excited to create a graphic for my school ... downloaded it and ... the printed image is HORRIBLE! No control over the resolution takes all the value of this app. I had such high hopes for Adobe Spark!
