Print to PDF
Need ability to print Spark Page to PDF
Use cases:
- Copyright registration
- Offline viewing
- Newsletter printing
Hey everyone! This feature in Page is live. Access it by going to Share > Print from the menu at the top of your Page in Spark on the web (Chrome).
To Save it as a PDF, change your print “destination” to Save as PDF from the print dialog that opens (instead of choosing a specific printer). Then save the PDF to your computer.

I can save as a PDF but the formatting is way off. I tried every page size and option but it's useless. Looks nothing like my original

To all of you that are complaining about the print feature in spark. I am one of you. On the other hand I've had a few exchanges with people at Adobe about this feature and now more fully appreciate the issue. Spark Page does not just generate a web page as you normally think of it, a bunch of text and html commands that a browser can easily understand. Instead you need to think of Spark Page as a video generator that fakes out the browser and makes it display an image that looks like a web page. While I don't know all of the reasons that Adobe chose to take this direction in their technology, that's where we are. I have a few of my "smaller / shorter" page that I'm able to save as pdfs and others that cause the Chrome browser to crash trying to display the page preview. While I hope Adobe comes up with a good solution to this problem, I am not holding my breath, it could be a very significant development effort. I just hope that they put priority on getting a good solution that will enable all of us to print or save our work.

Spark just went from genius to worthless. How can this not be a option??

I'm on Chrome, but when I click "Share", the Print option is grayed out. When I try to click it, a window pops up, "Unsupported Browser. Click to Chrome to enable." But, I'm on Chrome. Have made sure my browser is up to date and re-starting my computer, but still the same.

I noted Veronicas sticky, and followed instructions. The preview panel came up fine of the first page which was a step forward. Changed the print destination to PDF, but there is no facility to name a destination on my computer or anywhere else. Clicked Save anyway, and all options apart from Cancel grey out, and its still hung up 15 mins later, and the preview panel has now failed.
Come on Adobe - you are a major software developer - you can do better than this.

Morisso, how does this work with multipage documents? Do you save each page as a separate jpeg, in if this is the case how?

I don't see the problem, I use a simple jpeg to pdf converter and it works just fine. Don't forget to select your document size before you save the jpeg.

I need to print my spark page as a full bleed tabloid pdf so I can send it to the printer and use it for an interview. Why has this not been solved?

Hi, I tried the option for PDF but I get stuck. I get a message that I have to install the latest version of Safari (Chrome, Firefox), which I have already. The program is quite a waste, worked for hours on something without being able to print.

This still does not work. As this means Spark pages are pretty useless to disseminate, how can I export a Spark document to a format I can use? I have create a 52 page document I can now do nothing with - what a waste of time!

The claim by Veronica Belmont, Spark PM, is only partially correct. Yes, some fairly small Spark Pages can be saved on one's local system as pdfs. I happen to use Spark Page to create travel journals that included lots of text and photos. At least 90% of my Spark Pages can't be saved to pdfs. There's an incompatibility between what Adobe is doing and what the system (Windows 10) can handle that Adobe says causes a memory leak in the print dialog. The print dialog eventually fails with a message that says "Something went wrong!" I wish Adobe would admit that the feature is not fully functional.

Veronica, what we need is for the END USER to be able to print it, not the designer backend! It makes no sense that backend "can print" and front end user NOT!

Does anyone from Adobe read these posts? If so, please respond. Last response I see was back in August. Can someone from Adobe give us a status on what is being done to fix this issue?

Cancelling my Trial today. The fact that I can't print anything is extremely frustrating! I don't understand how you could roll out a project without even thinking that this would be something that would be in demand.
