I work around this issue of having blurry images upon export by taking a screen shot of the final project. I wish I didn't have to do this, because it requires an extra step of having to rename the file, but at least it gets the job done.
The issue I am suddenly having now is that all logos and images I am uploading into Spark are blurry while I am working on them (not just during export). I have tried dozens of photos and I tried re-uploading my high resolution logo files. This did not fix the problem. What the heck is going on!?
