Are you more interested in inviting others to collaborate on a shared project or being able to transfer projects from one account to another? And why?

The issue isn't necessarily with projects that have been shared. What about libraries that another user created but didn't share access to but they used assets from that library in a file. When others go to open that file, they are unable to relink that file if that user account is no longer active. Ideally, for teams, there would be an admin account that is always the owner of the assets without a break in the 'chain of ownership.' I know this can be achieved if there's a 'dummy' account that manages everything but that is not efficient if one has to log in and out to update libraries, etc.
