  1. Make users able to flip the screen so that it's in portrait mode. I shot something on my phone but didn't turn the screen sideways.

    I am not sure I got your main idea, do you want to flip video? If so, I think VLC is a good choice, I didn't use Adobe to flip my video before. Choose the "Effects and Filters" option under "Tools" menu. And then a new window will pop up, go to "Video Effects" tab and then select "Geometry" tab. Tick the checkbox in front of "Transform" and pick "Flip Horizontally" or "Flip Vertically" from the drop-down menu.
